Bike Ride
Turning Mental Health on its Head!
Feel like some slightly more serious exercise. Each Thursday morning at 9.30am the Clusterers Bike Club ride is on, riders meet at the centre around 9am.
The rides are usually well attended by both members and non-members. Anyone is welcome to join us on this ride, so why not come along. The rides are a minimum of 20 kilometres and up to 60 kilometres.
The group usually finds a place around half way to have a coffee and a snack break before heading back to the centre.
Regular rides are usually to either Lara, Torquay, Leopold or the Barwon River trail. The destination of the ride is usually determined by participants on the day (dependant on the weather and rider ability) and is often the subject of much heated debate.
The positive benefits bike riding has on mental health are well known and proven. "There is nothing like a long bike ride to help one achieve a feeling of well being".
