Turning Mental Health on its Head!
Members can avail themselves of any of the resources on offer at the Support Group.
Library - We have quite a large collection of books relating to all sorts of issues associated with mental illness. Members may borrow any books of interest from the library - a small refundable deposit is requested from borrowers.
Internet Access - A computer with Internet access is available for the use of members during normal operating hours. You will need to book your time for access. Normal bookings are for one hour at a time.
Computer Usage - In addition to the Internet computer, we have a number of general access computers. These computers have the MS Office suite loaded for members to utilise as they need.
Mental Health Subscriptions - We subscribe to a number of Mental Health publications. These are held on file at the centre and are available for members perusal at anytime during normal business hours.
Peer Support - One of the great benefits of being a members of the Geelong Mood Support Group is access to others with similar illnesses. No one understands your symptoms and what you are experiencing better than a fellow sufferer. We have a number of quite long term members and they can help provide invaluable insight into your illness.
